ALOHA ALL!! OUR NEXT MINDFUL HAWAII COMMUNITY MEETING WILL BE AT 1 PM SATURDAY 14 MARCH 2020 AT KAITO GAKKO, 3225 PAKANU ST, NEXT TO THE MANOA CHINESE CEMETERY.
Unfortunately, LOREN WALKER JD, MPH, Director of HAWAII FRIENDS OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE will be on the mainland on Saturday 14 March tending to a family emergency. She has conveyed her regrets and willingness to present at a future meeting. We look to a future time when she can present to our community. Till then, we wish her well.
Stepping into Loren’s spot will be KAHU BRUCE KEAULANI. We are in for a real treat as Bruce will talk (and hopefully demonstrate) Lomi Lomi. Many people know that BRUCE is a master of Lomi Lomi. He is also a master of Hawaiian Martial Arts. Don’t miss Kahu Bruce’s presentation. Invite your friends to this.
ON SATURDAY 28 MARCH 2020 at the CHURCH OF THE CROSSROADS, we will have an event to kickoff conversations about spiritual aging. The event is being sponsored by MINDFUL HAWAII, BLUE ZONES PROJECT, CHURCH OF THE CROSSROADS AND, UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII CENTER ON AGING. There will be a plant based lunch, meditation exercises, panel presentation, workshops, etc.. The event’s MC will be LYLA BERG, HOST OF ISLAND FOCUS.
Watch for a flyer that will be out very shortly. Please circulate the flyer among your intimate circles. Spiritual growth is important at any age but, for seniors who find themselves increasingly isolated and alone, inner resilience is especially crucial. We need to bring attention to the importance of Spiritual Aging.
